NCUPM welcomes you to this website that is dedicated to Nigerians that are: privileged to have studied or worked at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM), currently studying or working at KFUPM, or are aspiring to study or work at KFUPM. Its membership also extends to Nigerians that may not have studied in KFUPM but working in other schools and companies in the Kingdom.
The Nigerian community at KFUPM & Environs (NCUPM) is dynamic and vibrant. It is dynamic in the sense that every year we receive as well as send-off people. And it is vibrant because the community is active in trying to live as a community, and keeping the good names established by the early Nigerians in the school. It started with only one student in the 70s, and today we have more than two hundred Nigerians studying or working at KFUPM. Most of the members are post graduate students who are pursuing their masters or PhD programs. Many have graduated and currently either working or pursuing additional degree all over the globe.
Our aim as a community is to establish a community of Nigerians that are academically sound and morally upright. Furthermore, we target at maintaining a good human relationship and mutual respect among members. Also, we aim at establishing a brotherhood that will minimize cultural shock among the new comers, and increase peaceful coexistence and academic productivity among all the community members.
So far so good, the trademark of Nigerians at KFUPM & Environs is: Intellectually Sound and Morally Upright. Hence, we are working hard to maintain that hard earned respect and highly cherished good name.
